May 3, 2025Accelerate your move to Windows 11 with Surface Copilot+ PCs
May 3, 2025This year’s Microsoft AI Tour consisted of twelve flagship events run by Microsoft’s corporate event team, with a great many more events being put on by local subsidiary teams in-market. We’re excited to share that we have doubled the number of MVPs contributing to the Microsoft AI Tour as compared to the previous year! With nearly 300 MVPs volunteering across the globe, these events are both an opportunity to share technical expertise– but have proven a great vehicle to connect with fellow MVPs within region; forging new and strengthening existing ties.
March brought the final large-scale stops of the Microsoft AI Tour: London, Seoul, and Tokyo- and wrapped up this year’s series. You can find a previous blog post detailing earlier stops here.
In many cities, the local CPMs coordinated additional programming in partnership with the Microsoft Reactor team and social meetups for MVPs in town for the event.
- London included 34 MVP speakers/proctors staffing floor booths, proctoring in 5 of the event’s 6 workshops, and delivering two theater sessions. MVP Jemima Abu also served as a panelist for the event’s Women in Dev session.
- In Seoul, a total of 32 MVPs and RDs contributed significantly to the success of the event. They led 8 Theater sessions, 1 Breakout session, supported 18 different booths, and served as proctors in 12 workshop sessions. The theater session “Data Insights Analysis Using Excel + MS Copilot” presented by an Excel MVP JinKwon Jeon, was ranked as one of the top sessions of the event.
- In Tokyo, 28 MVPs and RDs joined as staff and proctors, despite the MVP Summit occurring simultaneously. Additionally, M365 MVP Kazuaki Asada, who has been actively promoting and implementing Copilot across their enterprise organization and sharing those experiences with the community, was invited to a roundtable discussion with the CEO to directly share his story and feedback.
In total, 290 MVPs have contributed to the twelve primary AI Tour stops– directly reaching over 10,000 attendees through delivering Demo sessions and proctoring Labs- not to mention the thousands more impacted by 1:1 conversations had while MVPs staffed technical booths on the show floor! Not only is this a fantastic case study of how our MVP community drives global impact, but a testament to the ongoing dedication of individuals to prioritize educating and forming connections with fellow technologists in their own regions.
A massive thanks to those who’ve joined and supported this event series- your impact is substantially felt. Planning is underway for the FY26 Tour and we’re partnering closely to further integrate the MVP Community in supporting this series.
