🤩 Jumpstart Local Rebrand
Although technically a May update, we’re thrilled to announce that Jumpstart HCIBox has been rebranded to Jumpstart LocalBox, aligning with the broader Azure Local rebranding introduced at Microsoft Ignite 2024.
The transition from HCIBox to LocalBox reflects our evolving mission: to support a broader spectrum of edge and on-premises deployments. While HCIBox was originally focused on Azure Stack HCI, Jumpstart LocalBox embraces the expanding needs of hybrid and edge solutions under the Azure Local umbrella.
LocalBox delivers a streamlined, one-click sandbox experience for exploring the full power of Azure Arc in localized environments. It’s tailored for IT pros, DevOps engineers, solution architects, and anyone that is looking to get hands-on with Azure Local and Arc-enabled infrastructure and services, whether in a datacenter, remote branch office, or at the edge.

đź’§ Jumpstart Drops
We’re excited to celebrate the latest four Jumpstart Drops contributed in April! A huge thank you to our contributors for sharing their expertise with the community!
We would also like to highlight a Jumpstart Drop created by one of the core maintainers within Jumpstart:Â Arc Insights PBI Dashboards Powered by Jumpstart.
The Arc Insights Power BI (PBI) dashboards provides users with a single pane of glass insights and visualizations for your servers, enabled by Arc or as Azure virtual machines. The dashboard covers a range of scenarios including Server Inventory, SQL Instances on Virtual Machines, SQL Databases on virtual machines and Extended Security Update (ESU) cost forecasting. With the Arc Insights PBI Dashboards Powered by Jumpstart, you have a rich set of Dashboards about your Arc connected estate, available in minutes, not weeks, which can then be customized to suit your individual requirements.
Here’s what’s new:
- Arc Insights PBI Dashboard Powered by Jumpstart
- Azure Arc Connectivity Check
- Azure Arc SQL Tags Inheritance
- Graph User Photo Sync Automation
