Hi, Insiders! My name is Eleanor Huynh and I’m a Product Manager on the PowerPoint team. I’m excited to introduce to you design suggestions – a new feature for Microsoft Copilot users that brings together the design ideas available today with the power of AI to provide new tailored template and slide design suggestions.
Design Suggestions: Combining the power of Designer and Microsoft Copilot in PowerPoint
Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can now get suggested ideas from Copilot in addition to the design ideas available today to Microsoft 365 user.
This enhancement aims to elevate your presentation experience by providing a broader range of creative options, and ensuring that your slides not only convey information effectively but also captivate your audience visually. Copilot’s suggestions will empower you to create stunning presentations with ease and efficiency.
NOTE: Non-Copilot users will retain access to Designer and its standard design ideas provided to all Microsoft 365 users. Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license will see both the standard design ideas and the new Copilot suggestions.
How it works
- In PowerPoint for Windows or PowerPoint for Mac, select Design Suggestions on the Home tab.
Copilot users will see suggested ideas from Copilot as well as the familiar design ideas available to any Microsoft 365 user.
Requirements
To use this feature, you must have:
- a Microsoft Copilot license (get more details on licenses for consumers and for businesses).
- a stable internet connection.
Availability
This feature is rolling out to Microsoft 365 Insider who meet the requirements outlined above and are running the following builds:
- Windows: Version 2505 (Build 18827.20006) or later
- Mac: Version 16.97 (Build 25040216) or later
NOTE: This feature will also be coming to Microsoft 365 Copilot for the web.
