June 28, 2025Integrating remote patient monitoring solutions with healthcare data solutions in Microsoft Fabric
June 28, 2025Hi, Insiders! I’m Mike Tholfsen, Principal Group Product Manager on the Education team. I’m excited to share an opportunity for you to join us at ISTELive 25 and ASCD Annual 25 to learn about new AI-powered features and innovations we’re bringing to educators and students.
Save the date: June 29–July 2 in San Antonio, Texas
We’ll be diving into real-life use cases of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat and tools like Microsoft Teams in education; our partnerships with Learning Management System providers; the launch of Microsoft Learning Zone, a free, AI-powered learning app and the first Copilot + PC experience purpose-built for educators; and more. You won’t want to miss it!
Setting the stage
According to our recent 2025 AI in Education Report, more than 80% of surveyed educators are using AI this year, up from 68% last year. However:
- About 1 in 3 surveyed educators report being unsure of how to leverage AI effectively and responsibly.
- More than half of surveyed students report that they have not received AI training.
At ISTELive 25 and ASCD Annual 25, we’ll be exploring the many ways Microsoft aims to address this gap, from mastering agents to tackling cybercrimes and AI security risks. The new Microsoft Learning Zone is built on collaborations with organizations including NASA, the Economist Educational Foundation, PBS NewsHour, Figma, and Minecraft Education to bring real-world relevance to the classroom, including integration with Kahoot! to generate interactive games and OpenStax for content from vetted, open educational resources.
We’ll also share stories from students at institutions such as the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and the University of South Carolina who are already seeing academic and career preparedness gains with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
