New on your Viva Glint platform (so much!)
May’s release included the following features:
Streamline your app and tenant management. The Viva Glint Tenant Administrator is now a built-in Microsoft Entra role. Layer this role with Viva Glint Administrator users so that admins can manage Microsoft 365 admin center settings & support requests, as well as the Viva Glint app. Read more.
Self-serve management of the attributes you send to Viva Glint has begun! User data is sent to Viva Glint in your Employee Attribute File. Hierarchy rankings are how we structure and surface the data correctly for use in reporting, role setup, and more. To date, if a change in the name of a hierarchy level was needed, you had to spend time with our support teams. As a next step in making schema setup fully and easily self-serve, admins can now change hierarchy level labels independently. Read more.
June’s release included the following features:
Viva Pulse and Viva Glint integration to support engagement survey follow-up. Now generally available, managers and leaders can follow up on Viva Glint survey results to check in on team progress and address key focus areas to maintain momentum toward improving engagement. With the lightweight Pulse survey tool, managers have access to a template that pulls top opportunities and strengths from their Viva Glint results. For documentation on how to set up the integration, review Take actions with Viva Pulse after Viva Glint engagement surveys and for a detailed overview of this integration, read Harness the power of Viva Glint and Viva Pulse to drive continuous improvements.
Self-serve management of your attributes continues with creating new hierarchies. To date, if a change in the hierarchy was needed, you had to spend time with our support teams. Admins are now able to create new hierarchy groups and levels on their own. Read more.
Customize user role access in bulk. Previously, when granting custom access within a user role, admins had to configure permissions individually for each user using a complex file configuration process in Advanced Configurations. Now, admins can configure a role with custom access and apply it to multiple users at once. Read more.
Enable support users to export People and Reports. When granted permission by the admin, support users have the capability to import and export data on the People page and Reports. Read more about managing support users.
Adding cycles to a custom recurring program. When configuring a program using the blank custom recurring program template, survey designers have the capability to add cycles. Read more.
July’s release included the following features:
Control which users access Microsoft 365 Copilot in Viva Glint. Now available for all tenants, Microsoft 365 global admins can control Copilot in Viva Glint availability for your organization, groups, or users in the Microsoft 365 admin center. If enabled in the admin center, Viva Glint admins can manage Copilot for Viva Glint at the role level in the Viva Glint app. Learn more about feature access management in Viva.
Enable Glint Copilot for Company Admins. The Viva Glint admin (aka Company Admin) can now enable Copilot for their own user role without adding them to another custom role. Within General Settings, toggle this on to enable Copilot for the Company Admin user role across all eligible recurring and ad-hoc survey programs without altering any other Company Admin permissions. Read more.
Include missing survey takers. Admins can now add participants to the survey after the survey has gone live. Use this feature by navigating to Survey Programs to generate additional surveys for new participants.
