This milestone builds on our Public Preview Launch and deepens the collaboration between MongoDB and Microsoft to empower developers with a seamless, secure, and scalable data platform for modern applications.

Developers can provision MongoDB Atlas resources from Azure Portal and Marketplace. 

What GA Means for Developers

MongoDB Atlas is a fully managed, flexible document database optimized for performance, scalability, and developer productivity. With the GA release, you can use MongoDB Atlas for your production workloads.

• Provision MongoDB Atlas organizations directly from the Azure portal – no need to switch platforms.


• Manage billing through Azure Marketplace, streamlining financial operations. 


• Leverage programmatic provisioning via Azure CLI, PowerShell and Azure SDKs like Python, Go, .NET, Java  and JavaScript.

How to get Started

To create a MongoDB Atlas resource in Azure, you can start from Azure portal search bar or use Azure CLI or SDKs. If you are creating this resource for the first time, Azure portal is preferred.

Visit Microsoft Docs for a detailed guide or follow these steps –

• Search for MongoDB Atlas in the Azure portal or visit the Azure Marketplace.


• Create a MongoDB Atlas resource using your Azure subscription and resource group.


• Go to the Overview page of your resource and navigate to MongoDB Atlas organization.


• Configure your Atlas organization and deploy clusters directly from the Atlas console.
