Microsoft Intune and Apple platform updates: What to expect after WWDC 2026
June 26, 2026Activating channel partners on Microsoft Marketplace: A sales and marketing playbook
June 26, 2026Today, we’re excited to announce the publication of the Oracle AI Database@Azure – AI adoption playbook.
After Microsoft Ignite 2025, the Oracle AI Database@Azure team at Microsoft launched a Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) program: a hands-on effort to work directly with customers, including those in highly regulated industries, to accelerate real AI solutioning on Oracle AI Database@Azure.
That work has now become a field-tested playbook – a repository of reference architectures, implementation patterns, and decision frameworks built to help enterprises move from experimentation to production with confidence.

Why this matters now
The question enterprises are asking now has changed. It’s no longer if they should adopt AI. It’s when and how to do it securely, responsibly, and at scale, without compromising on privacy, compliance, or data residency.
The questions we hear most often:
- Which architecture should we start with?
- How do we enable AI experiences while keeping Oracle data secure?
- When should we use Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, or Power Platform?
- How do we get from pilot to production without rearchitecting later?
This playbook answers all of these questions with patterns validated by real customer deployments, not theoretical best practices.
Three ways to put Oracle data to work
The playbook organizes its guidance into three categories of patterns:
Zero data movement: Build AI and workflow experiences directly on Oracle data, without ever moving sensitive information through Copilot Studio connectors, Microsoft Foundry with Oracle MCP and ORDS, developer tooling via Oracle MCP in VS Code, and Power Apps or Logic Apps integrations.
Managed replication and analytics: Power advanced analytics and AI through governed data movement, using Microsoft Fabric Mirroring, Oracle GoldenGate CDC into Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot or agent experiences built on mirrored data.
Intelligence layer: Combine enterprise data, business context, and organizational knowledge for richer AI reasoning, powered by Microsoft IQ.
These patterns were shaped through hands-on engagements across financial services, procurement, operations, HR, healthcare, media, and gaming, capturing hard-won lessons on accelerating proof-of-value work, meeting enterprise compliance requirements and reducing adoption risk through repeatable architecture.
Security and governance, by design
Security and governance aren’t an afterthought, they’re foundational, shaped by deployments where auditability, data protection, and regulatory compliance are mission critical. Every blueprint discussed in this playbook incorporates identity and access controls through Microsoft Entra ID and least-privilege principles, governance integration with Microsoft Purview and enterprise agent frameworks, and operational guardrails for observability, compliance, safety, and cost management.
An evolving ecosystem of integrations
As enterprise AI adoption matures, we’re continuing to expand the integration patterns available through Oracle AI Database@Azure. While today’s playbook highlights proven architectures using Oracle MCP, ORDS, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Logic Apps, and Microsoft Foundry, this ecosystem continues to evolve.
We’re actively working with customers, partners, and engineering teams to identify new integration opportunities that make it easier for AI agents and applications to interact with business systems end-to-end. This includes emerging patterns for application integrations, write-back scenarios, workflow orchestration, and seamless interaction with enterprise APIs and services.
Future updates to the playbook will continue to introduce new connectors, integration blueprints, and community-contributed patterns that help organizations accelerate delivery while maintaining enterprise-grade security and governance.
Our goal is simple: make Oracle AI Database@Azure a connected intelligence platform that integrates naturally into the applications, workflows, and AI experiences organizations use every day.
