Every action Cowork takes is governed like the rest of Microsoft 365

Cowork integrates with Microsoft Purview controls your data security and compliance teams already use today to manage Microsoft 365 Copilot. That means sensitivity labels are inherited and respected, interactions are captured in audit logging and DSPM activity explorer, and Communication Compliance and eDiscovery apply. Customers can also detect user risk with Insider Risk Management and leverage retention policies with Data Lifecycle Management. Data Loss Prevention protections extended to Cowork are coming soon. For prompts, responses, and generated artifacts, we are extending to Cowork scenarios available today for Microsoft 365 Copilot.
