July 8, 2026[In preview] Public Preview: Export historical data from Log Analytics workspace with Export jobs
July 8, 2026We’re thrilled to announce the recent launch of a variety of new features to better prepare your organization to roll out Microsoft 365 Copilot. These tools can equip you with deeper insights about your organization’s preparedness for Copilot, and provide more meaningful data about how Copilot is being used and how employees feel about its effectiveness. Let’s dive in.
Drive sustained usage of Copilot with the new Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption report template
To move beyond insights like “Did people try Copilot?” to “Is usage of Copilot sticking?”, we’ve added new impactful insights to the Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption report. These new insights help analysts and business leaders determine who is using Copilot consistently and whether employees are meaningfully changing how they get work done based on their usage of Copilot.
The report now includes more usage intensity-focused and actionable metrics, external benchmarks, and a streamlined user interface to make it easier and faster to see what’s driving sustained usage of Copilot and its value.
The new Power user insights section, for example, helps organizations identify and learn from users who are forming strong Copilot habits and getting outsized value.
The new Copilot Adoption Overview page, meanwhile, consolidates key adoption insights into a streamlined one-page experience, replacing the previous multi-page flow. The page introduces a refreshed set of metrics and capabilities, including external benchmarks for the percentage of active Copilot users, to help leaders understand overall Copilot adoption and usage intensity.
These new insights can help customers move beyond surface-level adoption and focus more on sustained usage and measurable business impact.

Revamped Copilot Dashboard readiness page now provides clear recommendations for Copilot adoption
To provide business leaders with tailored insights and step-by-step recommendations on how best to maximize their use of Copilot, the readiness page within the Copilot Dashboard has been overhauled to provide more specific guidance. Dashboard users, for example, can now see guidance on how to adjust Copilot settings to streamline their deployment and enhance the user experience. Learn more on the Microsoft 365 Copilot blog.
Satisfaction metrics added to Copilot Dashboard
Sentiment data in the Copilot Dashboard provides users with a variety of insights into employees’ feelings about Copilot, through survey responses. Now, standalone satisfaction metrics provide quick at-a-glance insights into how employees feel about Copilot, with trends over time and breakdown by groups. Maximize Copilot value with Copilot Analytics Labs (preview)
While Viva Insights offers a suite of measurement tools and insights to track Copilot and Agent adoption, analysts and data scientists still sometimes resort to experimental methods to measure Copilot and agent value. Now, we’re showcasing those emerging innovations to accelerate feedback, learning, and validation.
This new hub, Copilot Analytics Labs, is a do-it-yourself analytics hub for measuring and maximizing the value of Copilot and Agent adoption, usage, and impact. It includes guided templates, ready-to-run code, and playbooks all grounded in real business deployments.
Copilot Analytics Labs is organized around three pillars:
- Templates – Production-ready dashboard templates with guided setup and data connectors that quickly take you from discovery to a working dashboard.
- Real code – Sample code, prompt libraries, and a toolkit ready to run with the customer’s own data in Python, R, and Power BI, from a Viva Insights essentials starter kit to advanced ML modeling and an export-first toolkit.
- Proven playbooks – Adoption playbooks and research built on real business rollouts, including the Customer Adoption Playbook, the World Trend Index 2026, and the New Future of Work report, so teams can build on patterns that already work.
Organization-wide report publishing
We’ve expanded the capabilities of the Publish reports tool in the Viva Insights web app, to allow analysts to take reports, such as the Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption report or Ways of working report, and publish them to any user or security group within their organization. This expansion allows broader access to these types of reports, which previously could only be shared with those who had global access to the Copilot Dashboard. Now, analysts can publish reports to stakeholders such as Copilot adoption leads, individual contributors, or managers of small teams. This reduces friction in how these insights are shared and socialized, and can help teams act more quickly and confidently in their deployment of Copilot and other collaboration tools and processes.
Once shared, recipients of the published reports receive an email notification and a link to access them in the Viva Insights web app.

More targeted insights for Copilot Studio agents Power BI report
We’re excited to announce new capabilities for the Copilot Studio agents report template, in response to feedback from our customers. These enhancements include increased clarity for the insights provided by the report — such as environment names for agents — and more granular insights, such as the ability to customize time saved and hourly cost metrics at the individual agent level. Specifically, these enhancements provide:
- Environment names – Agents are now displayed alongside the Power Platform environment to which they belong. This makes it easier for analysts and admins to identify, group, and attribute agents across various business unit environments.
- Maker-led time and cost savings for conversational agents – Previously only available for autonomous agents, the report now provides estimated time saved per session and translated dollar savings based on maker-provided inputs for conversational agents.
- Customization of agent impact – Analysts can now customize the time saved and hourly cost metrics at the individual agent level, which improves the accuracy of the reporting.
