A major update is coming to SC-401T00: Information Security Administrator on August 8. We’re refreshing the content to better match how people actually work with AI security—focusing more on real-world tasks than just product features.
🔄 What’s Changing?
The current learning path “Protect data in AI environments with Microsoft Purview” will be retired and replaced with a newly structured path titled:
“Secure AI interactions and environments with Microsoft Purview”
- This new path is designed around jobs to be done, rather than product capabilities—making it more intuitive and actionable for learners navigating AI security challenges.
🧭 What’s in the New Learning Path?
The updated path includes five focused modules:
- Understand Microsoft Purview protections for AI
- Secure Microsoft 365 Copilot interactions with Microsoft Purview
- Secure enterprise and non-Microsoft AI apps with Microsoft Purview
- Secure developer AI environments with Microsoft Purview
- Use Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI to assess and manage risks across workloads
These modules provide a comprehensive view of how Microsoft Purview supports secure AI adoption across platforms and roles.
🧑🏫 What Trainers Need to Know
- Trainer decks will be updated to reflect the new structure.
- Labs will be reordered to align with the revised flow and focus of the learning path.
- The update will be reflected in the August 8 courseware release and will be visible in the upcoming Title Plan.
We encourage all trainers and partners to review the updated materials ahead of delivery and ensure alignment with the new structure.
